Townsend Signs has been operating in south-west Sydney for over 33 years, built on a foundation of traditional trade training and a genuine passion for the craft. What started as an apprenticeship in signwriting has grown into a full-service operation covering everything from hand-painted lettering to large-format digital vehicle wraps.

The signage industry in Australia is largely unlicensed, which means anyone can set up shop and call themselves a signwriter. Townsend Signs is one of a shrinking number of operators who came through a proper trade apprenticeship - trained in the fundamentals of layout, colour theory, typography, and materials science.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We assemble our project teams from our internal personnel. Standard project teams consist of a project manager and a project co-ordinator who is responsible for general administration, tracking the progress of the project and updating the client on the status of the project.

3D LETTERING
With the addition of a Router to Townsend’s inhouse equipment the production of 3D letters no longer requires the need to source outside suppliers.
LAMINATING
As customers strive to protect their valuable signage, Townsend Signs have as part of their equipment a wide format laminating machine.
WIDE FORMAT DIGITAL PRINT
Over a period of years Townsend Signs has developed an infrastructure which supports the inhouse manufacturing of 95% of all signage requirements. The wide format printers are medium volume with the emphasis on quality print, they are used in the main to service our in-house requirements.
TRADITIONAL SIGNWRITING
When signage is required to go directly onto existing rendered or brick walls Traditional signwriting is best used offering an ageless quality, or just simply applied to augment old world values and charm.
VEHICLE WRAP
